The Swedish armored infantry fighting vehicle CV90
The CV90 is a Swedish armored infantry fighting vehicle. It is developed starting in 1984 by Hägglunds, now a part of BAE Systems. The CV90 is developed for the needs of the Swedish Army, it was put into service in 1993.
The CV90 can be fitted with a number of different weapons systems, equipped with a 30mm, 35mm or 40mm canon. The CV90 has the Christie type roller bearer system. Its frame is available in different versions: light tank, anti-aircraft canon.
The CV90 has seen large exportation success and has undergone several modernization campaigns. It is put into service within Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Holland and Swiss infantry units.
